Problem Statement
At the onset of the project, we identified the problem Novustack wants to solve which is to identify and attract quality applicants and determine who becomes a fellow right from the first application stage.
Dataset and Client Meetings
we were given a link to the data of all the applicants in the 3 cycles they have undergone. We encountered a couple of missing values in the dataset. Our data wrangling and tidying was put to test as we had to deal with missing values and make sense of the dataset. We had 4 meetings with the client within the period of the project to ask questions and give them feedback on what we have been doing so far.

Descriptive and Inferential Statistics
We were able to discover trends in the data through insightful charts and graphs. We conducted Chi-square test to identify variables that had significant association with acceptance rate of applicants in the 3 cycles.
We built a predictive model using Logistic regression that aims to predict if an applicant would be a fellow based on some variables including but not limited to medium of referral, scores in grit, age, work experience, etc. with this model, successful fellows would be identified right from the initial application process.
We submitted a PDF of our findings and recommendations to the company so they can make data driven decisions in the next cycle. Our findings and recommendations was well received by the company.
